You lost your person.

Now what?

You didn’t just lose them. You lost the future you planned, the person who knew you best, and the life that made sense. I lost my Bill in 2022, suddenly, without warning.

After he passed, I looked for my spark. Something to make me feel alive again.
I didn’t just want to give into grief, lay in bed and let it swallow me alive.
I’d spent too many years being sick. I wasn’t going to let this take me.

— About Me

I help widows find themselves again.

I was the sick one. Bill was the healthy one. We had four months of pure magic after I finally got well and then he was gone. Suddenly. Without warning. At 54.

I didn’t just lose my husband. I lost my person. My teacher. The one who grounded me.

What pulled me off the floor wasn’t a grief program or a therapist’s checklist.

It was doing what my soul needed.

  • Car camping from Virginia to Maine.

  • A heli ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

  • ATV riding in Arizona

  • Skydiving in Manteo, North Carolina.

  • Ebiking from Back Bay to the NC border.

  • Rock climbing in Colorado.

And underneath all of it was something simple but powerful: nourishing my body in a way that finally made me feel safe, strong, and alive again. For me, that meant eating meat with plenty of fat.
